Interfaith Community Partners provides older adults with safe, accompanied transportation to medical appointments, therapies and life-enhancing errands. Our generous donors and network of kindhearted volunteers allow us to provide these services at no cost to clients. ICP’s mission is to maximize the independence and well-being of older adults by enabling connections with others in their community. Dial-A-Ride is a curb-to-curb shared-ride transportation service for township residents traveling to township destinations. Seniors 65 & older and handicapped individuals under 65 (with an RTA/ADA card) can register for the program. Dial-A-Ride uses a small PACE bus M-F from 8am-4pm. AARP Smart Driver Class is an annual class for senior drivers promoting safety and a discount on your auto insurance once completed.
Car Care Clinic is an annual CarFit Checkup and Safety Clinic for older adults Senior Seminar features currently & vital topics of interest for older adults.
Banner News - A yearly newsletter mailed to township seniors 65 and older about township and area services (also available at the township office).
Vintage Times - Local DGTV and Comcast Cable Channel show featuring interviews with area agencies concerning timely subjects for senior consumption.
Pocket Pal - Free "pocket" brochure with phone listings for county and ownership for park district and human services.

Our Senior Survival Skills "Lunch & Learn Series"
These seminars take place bimonthly on Thursdays from 12pm-2pm. Free lunch is provided by the FFDGTS or donated by a sponsor. Series topics have included: Medicare, County Services, Senior Scams, Housing for Seniors, Police & Fire Safety Procedures Health & Wellness and Advanced Directive
CAR CARE CLINIC
Westmont Fire Department, DG Township and AARP host this important event for checking seniors and their automobiles for safety. Police, Fire, EMA, Township, AAA, Pace and local non profits provide assistance while local volunteer mechanics check fluids, hoses and vital components to highlight suggested repairs.

Mark Thoman, Township Supervisor, honors FFDGTS member Robert Petranek with the Township Volunteer of the Year award (2018), for his awesome contribution of time, energy and initiative in support of the Senior Advisory Committee and township programs.
Our Annual Fundraiser is hosted at various sites around the township including Aspired Living, Oak Trace, & the new DG Township Center (2021)
Ruth Anderson, former FISH Pantry Mgr. for over 30 years, was honored as the Senior VIP for years 2020/2021!
The Pantry Facility now bears her name.
Sheriff's Police, Explorers, EMA, Westmont Fire Department Staff, volunteer mechanics and others help make the Car Care Clinic an annual success!!!
George Goodwin, AARP, is the current recipient (2019) of the Township Volunteer of the Year Award, for his contributions to the Senior Advisory Committee, and his tireless dedication and passion for the senior community- most notably the AARP Smart Driver Course and Annual Car Care Clinic!
The Annual Fundraiser is open to the community and is responsible for the bulk of the money earned each year.
In 2021, FFDGTS earned almost $8000 at its annual fundraiser!
FFDGTS also received a large grant for $19,000 which covered some of the capital expenditures at the new building!
